About Mrs. WrickThis school year will is my 22nd in education and I am completing my 3rd year as a CTE Coordinator. I have a life-long love of learning and it is my hope that I communicated that to my previous classroom students as well as the students I interact with now as part of my PTECH role. I started out as an electronics technician in the Air Force, then moved to the corporate world as a trainer and technical training manager for an electronics company. I felt drawn to teaching and spent my first 11 years of teaching in Azle at Liberty Elementary. I made the move to middle school and really loved it! I enjoyed that age group as they are unique, interesting, and a lot of fun. I taught PreAP ELA, robotics, coding and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) to 7th and 8th graders during my 4 years at Forte JHS. At the high school level I taught engineering, robotics , and developed a new UAV/Drone my last two years. I earned an Associates degree in electronics technology from the Community College of the Air Force, a Bachelor of Education through UNT, and a Master of Education through Lamar University. I am always on the lookout for new things to learn and encourage my students to explore new interests as well.
